Dog days of summer are here

It's finally August and it's HOT!!  I've been busy prepping for the twins first birthday party and getting our August dinner menu all set.  I love the beginning of a month...it always feels like a fresh start...almost a mini new years :)   I finally got our menu together and I "think" I have all of the birthday prep done.  I can't believe the kids are going to be one!!!  Today I decorated countless cookies...which turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself....and baked all of the cakes.  Tomorrow is cake decorating!!  Im so excited for Sunday.  There is just something about first birthday's that seem magical.  I can't wait to see their faces and watch them dive into their first cake :).
