Happy birthday to my big boy!

Happy 3rd birthday to my sweet boy.  You entered this world and my life was changed forever.  I will never forget the sweet look on your face and the sounds of your coos during our first day together.  I couldn't wait to hug you and cuddle you and even the nurses made fun of me for not putting you down for so long.  I was amazed at how beautiful you were.  Everything about you just drew me in and I was in love.  I was so excited to show you the world and teach you so many things.  What I didn't know was how much you were about to teach me.  I was introduced to a world of motherhood and it was such an exciting and scary experience.  I have loved every single second of the past three years and I can't believe that I am lucky enough to be your mother.  I will put my everything into helping you grow into a confident young man who this world is so so lucky to have.  I love you more than you will ever know.

Party time!!

It continues to amaze me how many loving and supportive friends and family we have in our life.  They all came together to help us celebrate our beautiful boy today.  He was thrilled from the start this morning.  The bounce house was a fun surprise when he got up this morning and and was DYING to get outside and get in.  He helped with the decorations and the food and was so ready for people to get here.  I honestly don't think I have ever seen him so excited before.  It was truly magic.  After lunch we watched the video from Santa Claus...the portable north pole sends a message from Santa wishing him a happy birthday....he was so in awe of it and so excited.  I LOVE the magic that he feels around all of the excitement from the day.  I'm so proud of the boy he has become and truly appreciate the incredible people in our lives that love him and have helped him become who he is today.  We love you and look forward to future celebrations with you.

The perfect moments

While this week has been full of errands and to do lists for me, the kids have kept themselves busy with playing and exploring. Every day it continues to amaze me. They each have conquered new things and continue to build these beautiful little relationships that I hope will last forever. Aiden is pulling himself to stand now and exploring things at a new level. Audrey is sitting up so much sturdier and has actually been up on all fours! Mark has been speaking in full sentences and reading!! His awareness of words and sounding out words this week has been impressive! As we wind down this very busy week and get ready to enjoy my sweet boys third birthday I am very thankful to have such happy healthy beautiful children.

Lego madness

It's been days of Lego madness in this house! I've been constantly putting together projects for Marks third birthday this week and I'm ready to have it all together! We have had such a busy week already and it's only Wednesday! I love birthday parties and all of the details that go into them! Yesterday I spent most of the day pouring chocolate molds and they came out so cute! We are going to finish them today along with a few other details and then the rest of the week is full of cakes and cookies!

A wonderful birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and it was such a great day! I feel so blessed to have so many great people in my life who love and support me. I was able to have some time to myself and the spent the afternoon wit the kiddos and Shawn. Looking forward to what this year will bring!

10 months old today!

I can't believe my babies are ten months old already!! This year has been going by so incredibly fast. It was so easy with Mark to hold on to every little moment but with the twins I feel like I have to actively remind myself to remember this or write that down. There is always just so much going on. I blink and someone is doing something new...I turn away and some has grown...I leave the room and now someone is following me. It's all too quick and yet I feel so lucky to be the person chosen to be their mom. Having twins has been such an exceptional experience so far and I'm "only" ten months in ;)

Summer reading, having a blast!

Today we headed over to the library to sign up for the summer reading program. I signed all three kiddos up thinking Mark would really get a kick out of Audrey and Aiden doing it as well. I'm hoping it encourages us to get lots of great summer books in! The kids picked out their books...twins had help of course ;) and then we signed up! Mark always loves the self check out system and knows his way to the stool he likes ;)

Summer is Here!
